If you don't have Mint Mobile yet and looking for a pre-paid carrier, go with US Mobile. Going to sound super shilly here, but I seriously don't understand why people aren't using US Mobile in the MVNO space. I was with Mint for about 3 years after coming off of T-mobile for a few and Verizon for almost 13 years.

Of all the services Mint Mobile had the worst bandwidth by far. I don't know all the intricacies of MVNO data tiering, but Mint Mobile has to be pretty low. I'd do side by side comparisons with T-mobile and Mint (who uses T-Mobile network), and the difference was astronomical. We're talking upwards of 80-90% slower, esp. during peak hours.
I only bothered testing in the first place to confirm my suspicions that Mint Mobile throttled because I'd literally have trouble loading websites when I was out and about.
That brings us to US Mobile. They use both Verizon and AT&T, you choose. Obviously I went w/ verizon because.. well Verizon. US Mobile has done some voodoo magic by actually securing priority data, so easily 10 times faster than Mint in almost every scenario.
You can even interchangeably switch between the two networks. Here's the zinger... alot of carriers say you can do this and that, but US Mobile web and mobile app actually make it EASY to do. Practically everything is self serve in a very clear, and easy to use interface.
If you ever have to chat support, I've never waited longer than 30 seconds to connect, and have always had someone who was polite and solved whatever issue I was having.
So 1. Fastest MVNO 2. Most flexible MVNO 3. Most featureset of any MVNO 4. best App and self-service of any MVNO 5. best customer service of any MVNO... It's also actually the same price if not cheaper than most reputable MVNO (on the annual plan).
I seriously am still trying to figure out what the deal is, for now I'm not complaining and just enjoying the solid service.
Sorry, Super Shilly I know. Swear to god I'm just an enthusiastic happy customer. Just go US Mobile.
I do not see a single deal of any kind for existing customers. I guess Mint is a place you go, get a deal, then leave to another carrier because once you're a customer, there are no more deals for you. Only new people. NOt a way to build customer loyalty. I'm a Mint customer, I got a deal 6 months ago. When my year is up I will leave Mint. Nothing else makes sense.
Basically if you buy the phone the service comes with it

I agree with you, I too was with Mint on and off again since maybe 2017, prioritization is pretty low on mint, in areas of high density you may even loose connectivity entirely. US Mobile offers priority data on Warp and BlackStar which are Verizon and AT&T based, and I believe T-mobile priority is available in their highest tier. Point is you can use the data no matter if it's in a high density area. I liked US mobile but recently moved to Total wireless with their deal of half the price so I got the 60 plan for 30. It offers just a little more than the equivalent US mobile. US mobile could be better for large groups though because they offer a lot of bonuses for plans with more than 3 lines if I remember correctly

All carriers are the place to go, get a deal, then jump to the next deal. Stop giving companies loyalty.

I'm in a suburb of a large Midwestern city, and I just speed-tested 660 Mbit Down / 53 Up on Mint Mobile from the bottom story of my house. So... shrug.

Why do we need to wait 60 days if everything is paid upfront?
If you're waiting your current plan to end so you could start the new one later and it will last longer, does it make sense?

I've never looked into US mobile but their multi network add on is kind of blowing my mind right now. They let you switch networks on the same phone? That is wild. And change the title of this post. S25+ is a phone, don't use + there.

Samsung is great in my opinion. Wife has a Pixel and I like my Samsung better.

My brand new Samsung S25 was used only 1 week and all of sudden dead and totally dead no matter what I tried to revive it. Samsung replaced the whole PBA main board for free to fix it. My other brand new Samsung S25 Ultra got a battery issue I think. The battery was drained to 0 without powering it on in 1 day, that is a fricken ridiculous.

This has been a common theme forever with most monthly subscription type services. When I switched from Cox after the 1 year new customer deal, when I called in to cancel, the CSR was pissed off because they were trying to offer me a loyalty deal but he kept saying "but you've only been a customer for 1 year".. so I guess he couldn't offer anything. Of course, I just jumped to the competitor.

I don't want the service, just the phone. Any other deals for the s25/s25+..... Any way to sell the 2 year services? Smilie
The service is not tied to the phone, but resale value will be 1/2 or less what the list price is. I believe to get the full 2 years, the buyer will need to port a number over to Mint also.

Metro and Mint are identical coverage. Maybe your phone, or maybe your area got a lot more congested while you were on ATT so mint seemed worse after that.

Yes but depending on the plan they may charge each time you switch so just check and see which plan allows it and how often it is allowed.

From what I've seen, it will not roam between the 3 networks, you need to keep changing SIMs, so you could have one physical SIM plus a couple E-SIMs, but it isn't a process you'd want to go through like every day.

I was looking to dump T-Mobile for Mint until I saw the T-Mobile $60 for two lines 'senior' plan for those over 55. $30/month per phone for unlimited is a good deal for me and my spouse.

Additionally, I have no cell service from ANYONE where I live (in the middle of a MAJOR metropolitan city, but in the hills), and T-Mobile several years ago gave me a two part 'microcell' device where one part just has to see a single bar for the other part to flood the entire three story house with 5 bars. Great device as long as you no longer plan to have any children.

And they also still support wi-fi calling (in fact encourage it) which works better than I expected.

No, the multi-network add-on is something else. It's where you pay like $10 extra per month, and you can choose to have two active SIM cards on your phone at one time.
What you're referring to the option to switch between networks. The multi Network add-on lets you have multiple networks active on your phone at the same time.
