how though? I mean, I have a lot of speakers etc, Sonos, etc. and I think it sounds pretty damn good. it is quite loud, has bass, and doesn't distort or anything. its a 2 pack so her and I will be using them for our separate kayaks and we can put them in the restrooms for showers.

for 39 dollars, I think they are super good, I think they sound better than my Sony srs xb100's I use at work. and I paid like 50 for them each. (when released)

if it matters, I use iPhone/iTunes/pandora.

Just went to my local warehouse and picked these up. Had been eyeing some of the deals on previous gen JBL Clip's to potentially use as a bikepacking/camping speaker just for personal use when I want to remain aware of my surroundings so I figured 40 bucks for 2 of these was worth a shot. These get surprising loud for little speakers and the stereo pair function is super easy to setup and works well. Far from amazing sound quality but they're punchy and can get plenty loud before they start to distort. These aren't going to outperform basically any $100+ speaker from a reputable brand, but for 40 bucks to include the carrying case and to get two portable, stereo speakers I can't complain.

Worth noting that the USB-C cables are in the bottom of each speaker box in a separate little box instead of being in the same cardboard container as the speaker that they could have absolutely fit in. I nearly threw away the boxes before I realized.
