A price at Ross/TJ Maxx or any of those discount stores should never be used as an example.

You've won the lottery if more than 4 stores have the same item at once.

Why you need a decanter for whiskey?

Great for a Father's Day gift. Looks way more expensive than it is, and the globe design is a great convo piece. Grabbed one for my dad (and maybe one for myself)

Bought this 3 years ago when it was on sale for $36.94. Looks cool. Glasses are nice. Only complaint is the globe decanter glass is thin.

I've seen it at Ross for a much lower price. Can't remember the exact price but it was around $20 if I remember correctly.

Idk ask a friend who has received one of the many novelty decanters as gift, I don't think they're ever really used unless it's sentimental.

Probably something deep like 'Is the whiskey smoother when it's been to the equator?' But honestly, it's the kind of piece that gets a 'whoa, what's that?' before you even pour the first glass

That would be a silly discussion as whiskey doesn't get "smoother" when decanted (unlike wine). This doesn't do anything to the flavor. If it did, logic would say just keeping your whiskey in the bottle would "self-decant" while sitting on the shelf. Personally, I prefer to show off the bottle which contains a wealth of information about what you're drinking.

Like providing tangible evidence the Earth is round. You can even further trigger flat earthers by saying it's hollow. I mean, how else can whiskey be stored in it?

So you're saying below the crust of the earth is an old glass ship? That is some stimulating conversation! Big Grin

Not only that, it's sailing through a sea of Whiskey! Although it appears as though it's capsized, which makes perfect sense. No chance of a sober sailor aboard that Galleon!

These seem incredibly impractical. But maybe I drink too much.

I got this with 4 glasses (now have 3) - only used it on two occasions. Gimmicky.
