  1. From your Samsung Galaxy Device, uninstall the Perplexity App if it is already installed on your device via the Google Play store
  2. Go to the Samsung Galaxy Store (red-ish icon with a white tote)
  3. Search for or find the Perplexity App
    • Note: A banner may appear; however, you don't need to click the banner to redeem this offer.
  4. Install the Perplexity App, and open the app
  5. Either log in to your current free Perplexity Account or create a New Perplexity Account
  6. The account should automatically be upgraded to Perplexity Pro
    • Note: You should see the words Perplexity Pro on top of the perplexity app homepage
  7. You should receive an email from [email protected] with the title "You've been upgraded to Perplexity Pro."
    • Note: If you are not upgraded to Perplexity Pro after following the instructions above, in the Perplexity App, hit the top left icon to access Settings, then click Logout. Close the app. Then, proceed to open the app again and log back in. This should trigger the app to upgrade you to Perplexity Pro.

make sure you uninstall from the play store and install from galaxy store. two different stores

I got this through Xfinity awhile back. Unfortunate that it can't be integrated as a voice assistant. It's ability to answer questions just destroys Google, Siri, Alexa, whatever. It actually works. Not certain I'd pay for it but it's good.

Anyone know how this is better than gemini on galaxy? I like using the gemini button and giving it a screenshot of something, telling it to put it on my calendar, and it automatically adding the appointment to my calendar.

S24 Plus. Just set up an account on my laptop and downloaded from Galaxy store and logged in. No offer.

edit: uninstalled and reinstalled on 6/10 and I got it.

They released the assistant so check the updates. I just set it to be my voice assistant .

I got a year's worth from Xfinity Rewards some time ago. I really like it and use it several times a day in lieu of Google, especially when looking up how to do something properly, or researching and comparing different things before purchasing.

It's a $20 a month service and I just might sign up for it when my trial runs out.

Z flip 6. I see the offer in the store but after downloading I only got 3 free queries with a new account. The app is broken, trying to subscribe to pro just redirects to the landing page

I actually hadn't used it much until just recently. I was trying to create a config file and after lots of Google searches I got all the right values. I thought I would try perplexity to see how it would compare to what I already did and it gave pretty good results individually. I tried to ask it to combine the results and it started to hallucinate and say some of the config options it previously told me about didn't exist. But even the little steps it gave me along the way would have helped a ton over Google's search. Would I pay $20 a month for it? Probably not, but $10 a month I probably would.

I got the banner and installed it through Galaxy store. Signed up using a new email address but still it is showing me trial for pro. When I click on upgrade it does not show my any cost. Did you do anything to enable pro?

This is incredibly annoying and random. Are we getting it or not? The company is embarrassing itself with its shitty interface. It makes my account seem like Pro (e.g., offering Pro perks), but also wants me to upgrade. I installed from the Galaxy Store on my S23 Ultra, and created a new account afterward.

I'm on a z fold 6 and did not get the upgrade.

In addition, the idea that this is better than Gemini is kinda subjective. Just this weekend I was deciding between a 40/60 and 30/50 well pump switch. I asked both of them for an opinion, and Gemini was far more complete and specific.

So I don't know.....maybe this is good for some things, but my first interaction wasnt super impressive
