Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Do some research before picking one of these up, these have a firmware issue that causes the SLC cache not to empty plummeting write speeds to around 2500mb/s as it is writing straight to the TLC and cannot dump the SLC cache.

They released a firmware update to finally address this issue a few months back (after having no solution for 3 years)

The firmware update has mixed feedback as to whether it actually fixes the issue or not. Some report correct write speeds shortly after firmware update but falling back to 2500mb/s after a while.

If only these had working firmware, they'd be super hot. No idea if skhynix will release an update that actually fixes this though since they've done it before and it hasn't worked yet.
