$250. For a laptop keyboard. Sold separately. I'm genuinely surprised they didn't start selling the individual keys, charging you variable amounts based upon usage.

backlit keys. great feeling keys. trackpad is great. it's more solid than the default Surface keyboards because it has a battery. it charges the Surface Pen.
being able to detach the keyboard and still being able to use it is a dream. Now you can truly use it for Photoshop and other keyboard-centric software. While you're drawing, you often need the keyboard to do things like switching tools or changing brush sizes. Drawing with the keyboard attached is awkward but now you can have both. heck, on a plane, now you can have the Surface on the tray and the keyboard below the tray. or the Surface on one side of the tray and the keyboard on the other half of the tray.
