Bought this a week ago. Can confirm they are Realtek NICs.
You don't. You wipe it first and install clean OS.
Almost bought this but looked around and found this [amazon.com]. It's dual 2.5GB Intel NIC and 512GB memory for $149.99.

It's good. I would have jump into this if this would have come with DDR5 and 2 LAN switches.

It's digital so when you reinstall it should automatically recognize. Just make sure, you install the correct one. As a safety you can get store the product key before reinstalling it by opening the CMD prompt with admin and typing below command.
wmic path softwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey

That brings the question, does it has window 11 pro or home?
I tried running "wmic path softwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey". WMIC is not recognized by the PC. I even tried creating an environment variable ( WMIC_PAT" usuing the command as the value. It did not work. SFC scan turned uo no issues. Kinda odd.

Did you run the command prompt as administrator? Not sure, why is not working.

If it's not working then you can find the product key using window registry file. Open the registory editor by typing 'regedit'. Select it and run as administrator. Navigate to
Computer -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> Windows NT -> CurrentVersion -> SoftwareProtectionPlatform
Then select 'BackupProductKeyDefault and key will be available under data.
Please ignore my typo. However, I did try to write everything as it.

That's great. Thanks for confirming. I ordered mine too and it will be here by Tuesday. I am thinking to use for OpenHab and NextCloud.

I mean you can get by, but its borderline, the amd based ones tend to have a better gpu for gaming, but cost more. It can be passable depending on the settings but the weak cpu is going to be maxing out doing things and ddr4 nerfs the performance expected as it has to share with the gpu on a single channel. ddr4 on a mini pc is not a bargain unless all you are doing is web pages and spreadsheets.

I'll check the registry value. I know regedit works, I just did not know where to look, thank you!
That said, it's a cool little box. I did set it up as a plex server and will likely only use it for that purpose, maybe a few quick searches. I can't say I trust it enough to access any financial data or do my taxes on.

Oh ok. Let me know if you find the product key by regedit. I am glad to hear that you liked the little box. I am waiting for mine too and will install the Ubuntu server, Open Hab then Nextcloud. I will play with nextcloud and see how it works then we will decide if I need dedicated server to make my own NAS. I am more inclined making my own NAS rather than going for Synology etc.

I'm not sure what your going to be doing with a N150 that the lack of DDR5 is going to make a big difference. N150 is a simple streaming PC, a NAS , maybe used as an emulation box. If I was looking for a PC to do much more than that I would be looking at an AMD Mini PC at least ( If I stuck with mini form factor) OR I would just build a PC that had to power to do what I wanted it to do. N150 is a $140 PC and your getting $140 worth of PC power!

I'm sure you can get by using it as an appliance for many things, but the tests are that ddr4 drags the n150 down to sometimes below the level of a n100, so its false economy is all i'm saying.

interesting. What I have seen on the N150 is they really aren't much better than an N100. IS that old news and they are much better with DDR5? I haven't seen that info but TBH I really haven't been researching this tier of chips much.
