Product Description:
  • Official Racing Simulator for Xbox One and Windows. 900 Degree Force Feedback racing wheel. Realistic 11"/28 cm wheel. Large pedal set included. With its official embedded software, this racing wheel is automatically recognized by the Xbox One console and is compatible with the console's menus. PC compatibility (Windows 10/8/7/Vista) is ensured thanks to the THRUSTMASTER drivers available for download from our website. The drive system with adjustable Force Feedback lets you feel every detail while you're racing (the road or track's relief, loss of tire grip, braking, bumps and impacts, and more). The rotation angle is adjustable from 270 to 900 degrees. A mixed belt-pulley and gears system is smoother, more fluid and less noisy than helical gears, with a metal ball-bearing axle for enhanced sturdiness. The THRUSTMASTER TMX comes along side some very impressive technical specs: the end result is a high-performance wheel that is both solidly-built and precise, delivering unrivaled flexibility for gamers of all levels - from beginners to experienced racers - and on all types of racing circuits.

I love this wheel though I'm currently on a high-end Fanatec setup, this Thrustmaster is my second favorite. I like it a lot more than the Logitech G920/G29. The Thrustmaster was my first wheel. I thought I was upgrading to the Logitech based on its reputation but once I actually started using it, I was not happy.

It's been awhile since I used the Logitech and the Thrustmaster so I'm not going to remember the little details on why the Logitech is bad. But it centers around how the force feedback motor works. When you're put in a semi-rough environment like the offroading in Dirt or Forza Horizon, the feedback is kind of slow and doesn't feel right at all. You're going to easily lose control even when the conditions aren't crazy hard. Again, it's been too long so it's hard to think of very specific examples of how the wheel feels in specific situations. But I do remember the vibes. And I do remember that the Thrustmaster felt much better and allowed me to drive much faster and much more aggressively.

The force feedback is decent. It's still cheap feeling, as you would expect for an entry level wheel at this price. If you're remaining budget-conscious then the Thrustmaster TX (T300) with T3PM or TLCM pedals would be a step up in both force feedback and quality.

If you ever try a good direct drive wheel like the Logitech G Pro, the cheaper options like this will all feel like toys. Very different price point, but if it's something you enjoy I recommend going direct drive.

What's up with a decent racing simulator with seat for a 6 year old that will grow with him? 🤔

I think the G29 @ 89-119 last week was a better deal? I missed the 89 and was going to marinate on the 119 then it went to 149. From what I've read so far, the TMX isn't as good as the G29 at the same price.

I think the TMX is better than the G29 or G920.

If you can, buy both, play around with them and return the one you don't like.

my rankings: Fanatec > TMX > G29/G920
