This is terrible advice. A DIY system such as this offers way more capability, expandability, and repairability. All at a much cheaper price

The Ecoflow is locked into a proprietary system for expansion batteries and if something like the inverter or BMS breaks you pretty much have to trash the entire system.

The Ecoflow's advantage is for portability but for home storage, DIY systems are the way to go. Unless the Delta Ultra is on sale

interesting product, and would be good at a cheaper price point or higher power, but…

if you're building anything not intended to be super portable, there are a TON of 48v hybrid solar inverters from China that are literally 7x the power, with solar, BMS communication, parallelable, immediate grid transfer and more, for as little as $300 shipped.

I currently run my entire house (including A/C, dryer, and fast changing my Tesla) off a forklift battery, solar panels, and a parallel set of PowMr POW-HVM6.2K-48V-LIP inverters that literally arrived at my house in a week for $304.

for anyone DIYing, hybrid inverters are totally the way to go!

Looks like a European 230 volt inverter or am I looking at the wrong item? The 48v DC to 120 volt AC all in ones from POWMR seem to be closer to $500.

Correct, it (and pretty much every affordable inverter) is a 220/230/240v configurable inverter. To get the neutral for USA split-phase, you put a center-tapped transformer or torroid across the outputs and connect that center tap to neutral.

I personally use an old 480x240/120 transformer from craigslist, but have just purchased a cheap step up/down voltage converter for my RV. Note that the power rating is only for the DIFFERENCE in power between the splits, aka just the imbalance between the two legs. This is typically low with well balanced circuits, and non-existent for all heavier loads that directly use the 240 anyway.

ps. you'll want to get it (or any other inverter) on AliEx cheaper. I've used several different ones, from no-named NM-II 5000kva, to an EASun 6200 (for $230!!) to 24v modified sines ($70!)…

People here.. it's DIY, expandability, repairability.. lol

Just get a PowerStation. This at $175 isn't really that cheap relative to a complete powerstation where it has the battery, mppt, USB outputs, LCD, wifi connectivity and far more portable etc.

Now if you are stubborn and want DIY, use VICTRON products. A safe, reliable DIY isn't really cheap. VICTRON offers quality and connectivity of each components for centralization management unlike random mixed and match parts on Temu.

Yeah this can be a good solution for someone that wants to keep a fridge and some electronics running in a power outage. Just order the 4 * 314 Ah cells here:https://www.18650batterystore.com...ah-batteryAnd for $630, you have 4kWh of storage
Can I use this setup as a replacement of my 10 year old APC battery backup for my home server setup (abut 120Watt)?

Hoping to run three or four of these (2400W each), in succession, to power the house. Is this kind of inverter what I'd need to make that happen?

TIA.

I started out with 12v "milk crate" builds, with an inverter, solar charge controller, & 100ah battery. At 12v, current is too high to power anything of consequence (fridge, etc.) for very long. Moved on to 48v "hand truck" build with AIO & rack mount battery. This soon got integrated into the house circuits, and I'm now building a smaller mobile system.
I bought the DC House (sister company) on Amazon for about $200. It's 2,000w, 48v inverter/charger. I plan on pairing it with 1 of the 48v, 50ah "golf cart" versions from Eco-Worthy or DC House. You can do so much more with 48v, at 25% of the current from similar sized 12v.
The DC House unit is $359 on Amazon. But it's had coupons from $100 to $200 since I've been keeping track. It's currently at the low end, with only a $100 coupon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DWJS5PTH
After reading the reviews on this one, mentioning that the Hot and Neutral are swapped, I checked my DC House version. The only plug that is pre-wired is 1 of the 120v outlets. You have to hard wire the AC in & the 2nd AC out. Sure enough, the pre-wired plug has hot and neutral reversed.

Rackmount batteries would have a BMS inside, but the reviews on Amazon suggest this is not well engineered: reversed hot-neutral, non-serviceable fuses, reliability issues? It may work--until it doesn't. Edit: Oh, and 95% of rackmount batteries are 48V, which would NOT work with this unit...
Thanks for the post. It made me check my 48v unit from DC House (sister company). Sure enough, the hard wired AC out was reverse polarity.

I bought my first Ecoflow around 5 years ago and then get a Delta 2 more than 2 years ago. It works well and is pretty much plug and play, but it has very limited expansion with a high cost. After waiting for a good price for the extra battery for a year, I built another solar power system using Eco-worthy and BougeRV products at a lower cost and it can be easily expanded. The only thing missing is a fast charger. An inverter charger is nice, and I have been looking at this for a while. I wish it has a higher output like the ones from Vevor.

Are these hybrid inverters U.L certified?

This can easily be built into a "power bank" with 5kWh of capacity if you just add a string of 4 100 ah 12v batteries in parallel for a total of around $800. Obviously not portable though, but easily less than half the cost of a pre-built power bank with the same capacity.
Don't forget the charge controller.

I think he was probably referring to solar charge controller,if you want to add solar panels.

Note that this is also available in an eBay deal, with 12v 100ah battery for $297. https://www.ebay.com/itm/12707852...R-qg34HxZQ
Also beware that the AC - out may be wired reverse polarity, as reported earlier in the thread.
I confirmed that my 48v DC House version (sister company) was wired that way. Below is response I received from DC House
