That's also the non-X3D version. Good for productivity but not nearly as good for gaming.

Same boat, going to wait for the 9090 to tank GPU prices and then build but have to admit some of the deals for X3D are tempting, some of the bundles are getting pretty irresistible.
Couldn't agree more!!

That issue was identified and fixed a couple of months ago.

At 4k it is. And even at 1440p x3d is not worth $100+ more. Every extra penny should go to the gpu, especially now.

If you're in the league to get this level of processor. $100 bucks doesn't matter. You could easily optimize cost per frame a lot better with other processors. Slippery slope into insanity.

Buyer beware! Newegg has been scamming customers. Search it on YouTube as big tech reviewers exposed the scam as they send defective merchandise then deny returns claiming customers damaged it with no refund.
Yup. This is a huge story I'm surprised isn't getting more oxygen.

It was a big story. Steve at Gamers Nexus caught them red handed and they had to change their ways.
In some ways there is kind of a catch with these bundles. You can't just return one item if one is defective. Which is why I probably wont touch the cooler till the cpu is good and working. I have a 240mm version of this cooler and it works kindo good.
Newegg won't pull that again as long as Steve is watching. Remember to support at the GN store.

Ugggh. Me too. Amazon Prime Day a better option to pull the trigger.

Watch the interview and look at the bios dates. They had to make changes between then and mid may.

They did this like 5 years ago. I have bought and returned stuff to Newegg without issue recently. Like 8 years ago I bought something and I returned it and I misplaced the little warranty card in the box and they refused and held the return for 30 days telling me they would ship it back to me if I didn't return the warranty card. I dug around with the pile of computer parts boxes and paperwork for the build and ended up finding it and sending it to them and they refunded me like a week later. It wasn't a pleasant experience but worked out in the end. I got my bank on speed dial anyways if any business fools with my I just do a chargeback. I am surprised people don't know about them or use them. I see a ton of reviews from people like something arrived broken ( Not Newegg usually Amazon) and the seller wouldn't help now I'm stuck with XYZ, I don't hesitate to do a chargeback if the sellers don't hold up their end of the bargain. Even shipping damage isn't the sellers fault but it is their responsibility to make right.
