I picked three items. $6 cheaper in store, $4 cheaper in store, and $5 cheaper in store. The math only works if you can't go to the store. This is a no-go for me.

Costco home delivery is such a scam. No flat rate shipping for buying more at one time-- just a marked up price for each and every item. It's almost like they're encouraging you to do the opposite.

In my area, Same Day Delivery via Instacart prices are 9.2% higher than in store price. However, if you have instacart+ (which I do) you get 7% discount. So the same day delivery prices via instacart are almost comparable to in store prices but with this coupon and discounted instacart gift cards (if we can still buy them from somewhere) this will be great deal.

Yeah, that's how the pricing works. I'd prefer a flat delivery fee or an explicitly specified percentage, but instacart (costco's vendor for this service) has obviously found that these opaque markups are the most effective way to manipulate money out of people

What are some good deals, you all have to consider the marked up prices on Costco Same Day, to make sure the items are same price in-store, or at least same as retail since you will also get % back from Costco's card and additional % back if you have Executive Membership

Some very simple examples of bad deals, it multiplies when you buy many items. So you have to calculate carefully not to go over the $15 discount on $50 which seems like they know exactly what they are doing.

Costco Kirkland Toilet Paper Rolls
Same day $24.56
In Store $20.99

Kirkland Columbian Coffee
Same Day $23.39
In Store $19.99

Both together does not add up to $50 so not enough.

I am not Thrifty Deer whoever that is but I use these deals when sending items to a person who does not live near a Costco. If you go to same day there aer generally some items on sale so start with those as they are discounted a few dollars from the regular costco price. Many items at Costco are great deals. I only buy those. If it is a great deal at Costco adding a few dollars to the Costco instore price it is still a great deal and with the $15 off coupon that makes it even better. Shop carefully and it will work out. If you have a family member not living near or not a costco member this is great....

Does Costco Same-Day / Instacart have a delivery fee and/or expectation of delivery tip?

I ask because I used the Target same-day shipping thing once. The shopper wasn't able to find everything in the store that I requested and there was a customary tip that wasn't adequately communicated up-front at time of order.
