Doubt it. Probably the enclosure or SSD were defective. And knowing Orico and Samsung, it's almost certainly the enclosure that was borked somehow. But that's just what you get when you pay these kinds of bottom barrel prices for high speed electronics.

Purchased this last time it was on sale. Worked great for a day and then the speeds dropped. Replaced the cable with a quality USB-C cable and has been working great since. Not sure if my cable was defective that it came with but didn't bother returning it since I had an extra cable laying around.

The code is actually ORICOM2PV20, not ORICOM2PV30.

Thanks for the reply! I've seen it posted at $10.65 multiple times but this is $10.50, slightly lower, even if just by 15 cents. So technically it's the lowest so far.

are you getting any good speeds with this? i have a Sabrent version, supposed to be about 1GB/s like this one, but am only getting no more than 200MB/s. motherboard fully supports usb 3.2.

I tried ORICOM2PV30 about 1 hr ago but ended up using ORICOM2PV20 instead to make it work. Now neither works for me.

Likely limited by your drive itself, there is no hmb over usb so if ithe cache is exhausted and you don't have dram on the drive it will be very slow.
