Maybe for the casual user this could be a good purchase--I might envision dropping this into a kitchen "junk drawer" to have a bunch of different options available (e.g, screwdriver, nutdriver, etc.)

Yet if this was in my shop, it'd probably be the last tool I'd reach for on an everyday basis. Having "everything" in one tool really isn't practical--hey, you're going to still need to get that 10 ml box wrench from the tool chest anyway so you can hold that nut while you tighten the bolt down with this tool...

As a gift (especially for the person that doesn't own a lot of tools and might benefit from an all-in-one) I maybe could see it...but other than that, this will likely just gather dust in the back of a drawer in your tool chest.

Yeah, overpriced and I have been unimpressed with Wera stuff lately. Seems like the quality has gone down, I have a similar set with the rachet that swivels, and it is junk, the rachet sucks. Bought the Icon mini rachet set from HF for half price and much better. Maybe Wera got bought out, changed the manufacturing plant or something, but half this price seems more inline with the quality

I have three of these (two metric, one imperial). While, I completely agree that this is not a particularly practical tool for a shop, there are plenty of use cases beyond a junk drawer. I keep one metric set in my bike pannier--I switched out a few bits to optimize, but even as supplied it has most of the tools. I have another one in my car. I have one at a rental property (which I guess is the junk-drawer scenario). Many people use these as part of a (larger) EDC tool kit.

On the price...$70 is a decent price if you need/want one now. They show up at this price probably about once a month. If you are willing to wait, you can sometimes get a deal at around $60. One of mine I got as part of a bundle from Amazon and it ended up at $47.

Wera got acquired by a holding company in 2016. Not surprised to see them decrease quality and increase growth.
