Switch to a lower plan, buy a tv and an internet plan. That's how you watch movie. Y'all are a like a prisoners, watching the world through 6" screen.

You don't think people hookup their phone or tablet to a 65" tv?I am in a rural area
Not here for whatever petty little argument is brewing but you don't have home internet service [edit: offered in your area]?

I am on Mint for over a year and just renewed for 1 year unlimited plan for~ $87. The renewal offer was for $120 and the rep found some $35 coupon on top to "retain" me. It helps to call their "cancellation" department before jumping.

My annual Mint subscription is about to renew (in 4 days) and I've been just fine at 15GB/mo for $15/mo (i'm a light mobile user). Looks like it's increasing to $20 a month for year 3. Should I jump ship to US Mobile? or call the cancellation department as BrightMitten suggests?

You didnt bother to read the above post?Tablet or phone to 65" tv Duh
If that is your gig I would check out visible plans, they have truly unlimited hotspot so you can do such a thing. Not sure you can stream 4k tho, maybe on the highest plan. Note: Visible is Verizon network so YMMV. I also think there is some still some backhand $15 hotspot only TMO plan available for biz. Maybe you can check that out.
If you are looking for a replacement for rural connectivity, maybe a microwave, starlink, or fixed wireless may make more sense especially if you want to stream 4k assuming they can support what you need. I have many friends that live in rural areas totally happy w/ starlink.

but mobile operators can advertise "UNLIMITED" when it's really not after 35gb....
The term unlimited is pretty useless in cellular because they pretty much all say unlimited, and well that is technically true that does not mean you get the same level of network access after conditions are met. You have to look up the plan and see after what conditions it goes from "normal" speeds to deprioritized or reduced speeds.
Go to this website: https://www.bestphoneplans.net/
You can compare all the feature differences between the plans. So if you want to stay on the TMO network, just look up plans on https://www.bestphoneplans.net/carriers
Or there are a number of ways you can slice and dice with roaming/international/hotspot, etc. It's really up to what you need then you can select from the vendors out there that make sense.

I had Mint last fall and they throttled me to death, unless things have changed, after 35gb I really had no data faster than dialup speed
What is "dialup"? Just kidding.

Hasn't Mint been running this promo like every single waking day since Ryan took over (then sold it to T mobile)?

You said you were local, what does local mean in this context?
Oh, sorry, I am aware some people travel a lot and switch cities often. with some operators if you stay local on a pretty fixed area, you get positioned higher on the priority list for data. Alternatively, if you hop between zones, the system puts you down on priority. Normally you wouldn't even notice this, but that's why some people report lagging, slow data and connectivity issues in the first few hours when they change city.

On Mint for years and when they were bought by T Mobile itself, things escalated to slowly to BAD. Price increasing, they put you on the latest lane possible below monthly T-Mobile direct customers. In some area the signal will be lost, meaning there too many T-mobile users in the area. I'm going to switch after the plan ended.

How long before I can use this, can I save them?
If you get a physical SIM sent to you it has to be activated within 45 days. eSIMS of course are instant.

Why not get the 2yr deal with purchase of s25? Hassle to port for just 3 months and not getting the most of port inOr get US Mobile like previous poster suggests until BF deals. Mint has been doing 1yr for 15/month past few years during holidays.
That sounds better.
