I'm probably dating myself (I'm 40) but I still even use black & white newspaper with Invisible Glass for the best results.
But it is getting harder to find. Home Despot used to be the cheapest and easiest place to buy it, but they've stopped stocking it in some stores, and/or replaced it with the trigger bottle.
Sprayway cans are easily found at HD. It is cheaper than IG, and some would say better, in a Ford vs. Chevy kind of debate. But one undeniable fact is that is has a strong perfume-like scent that may or may not be agreeable. IG doesn't have much of scent, nor does it linger. SW is the one that lays down more of a foam.
Both IG and Sprayway are leaps and bounds better than Windex, so it's a win either way.

If used for home, then it likely wouldn't make a difference except for a stronger smell.
The Zep concentrate listed in a comment above is great. It's $10 for a gallon of CONCENTRATE. For a 32oz bottle, you only mix 1oz. So for a regular person, a gallon would last years and make 128 32oz bottles. It's more of a soap based cleaner that has a nice baby soap kind of smell. Works great with no issues. I even use it around the house as a general cleaner to wipe down stuff since the gallon is gonna last forever. It's a mild cleaner so you can use it to wipe down car seats, leather seats or pretty much anything else.
I use both zep and stoners since Zep will streak if you over apply / dont wipe it all, where as Stoners is alcohol based and will leave little to no streaks and evaporate as it dries.
I used to run my own detailing shop for several years and Stoners listed here and ZEP concentrate were my go to. Tried tons of different glass cleaners and those two were the best for both performance and bang for your buck.
EDIT: Zep Concentrate I was referring to: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001B1A...67a6f

Foam is much better than this, especially for cleaning car windshield from the inside. It does not leave steaks. I have used many bottles before switching to foam.
