If I remember correctly, there are two different encoding strengths for magstripes. Low coercivity (dark brown magstripe) and high coercivity (dark black magstripe). Low coercivity is encoded via a weaker magnetic field strength and is more easily corrupted (cheap 1 use cards). High coercivity is encoded via a stronger magnetic field strength and is more resistant to external corruption (credit/debit cards).

I bought this in the coffee color a few months ago for 7.99 and absolutely love it. It's a nice sturdy leather and the magnetic money clip is really strong. I can easily fold 15-20 bills in it without having the worry about any falling out.

FWIW I've never had problems with credit cards, but I have a wallet with a magnetic money clip (not this brand) that kills hotel key cards constantly.

I have Nomatic [amazon.com]. Works great for 8 cards. It's relatively expensive, but goes on sale every now and then (I bought mine for $5 2 years ago),
I love my nomatic, but the elastic wears out and stretches over time. I got a new one and I'm afraid to put more than 3 cards now.

This looks ok, but nothing beats a NOMATIC when it comes to slim & durable.

I've had this wallet for about six months. While it is well-made and thin, there is one issue that you have to deal with. The pockets for credit cards and a driver's license are small. It is a struggle to get cards in and out, even after months of use. If the pockets were just 1/16th inch larger, they would be just as secure, but it wouldn't be a pain every time you remove a card.

I have tried a lot of slim wallets, and most have this issue.

I'd rather not display my ID, or cash, or cards when having a wallet out...

Any recommendation of a minimalist wallet that has a loop or place to put a key ring on (to put a smarttag2). Have a nomatic where i could put a ring around the leather loop but card corners get destroyed over time.

For anyone already bought or used it before. Do I able to use the magnetic clip to clip with my front pocket and hold the Wallet firm, so the wallet never fall out of pocket?
Yes absolutely can do that. Just opened and loaded mine and my wife came up with that idea and it works very well. Can do it for a front or back pocket and the magnet is very strong and holds it very securely in place. You could jog, jump, run or tussle and it there will be no chance of it falling out.

I do not plan on using the magnet to hold money and will be doing just what you describe

I'm very impressed with the product and am going back for more

Wow, a lot of slickdealers apparently want a wallet that prominently says "Toughergun" on it.
Wow, some slickdealers apparently have nothing to contribute but insult and snark.

Check out skinnywallet , truly minimalist at about 4mm thick when empty, yet can carry a dozen plus cards. Have had my latest one for some 8 years or so and it's still looking good. Reasonably priced also.

I had one like this and it only lasted a couple of years, then I spent 50 bucks on a slim wallet made of full grain leather and pigskin that will last longer than me. Highly suggest going that route, but if you just want to try out this style of wallet this looks like a good deal.
