I bought the Klein set 2 weeks ago and the bits are so short that I had to use a chopstick to push the bit out. I don't like that some of the parts are plastic. Does anyone know if this set is all metal?
I wouldn't worry about the plastic and generally with a tool like this the low profile is worth the pain of using a stick to push the bits out 👍 i would keep it

I don't own THIS ONE, but if you do any sort of handy work, whether home or car, one of these will be a god send at some point.

A cheaper version from Harbor Freight. With the added bonus of a 1/4" ratchet

Yeah I'd much rather take this at $3, or get another icon set on sale ($28 right now for ITC or Friday if not if they're still in stock) I love this damn thing

Of all the cheap tools you buy thinking they're a good idea, this one is the one I've probably used the most working on cars.

The Icon flex head ratchet at Harbor Freight it way better than this. You cant beat it for $28 and it comes with a hard case. Save your money and go to Harbor freight on Friday and purchase it if still in stock. ITC members can go grab them now!! I have one for my car and one for the shop. I have both of these and the ICON set will run circles around this.

At 2.5x the cost, the Harbor Freight set sure as hell better be better.

This form factor is exactly what you want when you need to get to very tight areas.
I have one of these from a life time ago (mine does not have the finger ratchet dial like this one). It is the only tool that will fit a phillips bit between a fender and a marker light. (yes, a very specific example)
I do have to be careful in applying pressure to the bit because it can pop out. The HF one does not have this issue.
However, the HF one needs more space to work. Maybe same for the Kobalt?
In my experiences, I can work gently with this in a minimal of space. And those empty medicine containers make excellent boxes to store a few bits and the wrench.

Honestly, this is one of those tools that you will not need - until you absolutely must have one! And then, you will pay whatever price to get the job done, lol.

I'm working on a latch replacement for a double pane sliding window that I can't remove due to shutters. I can only pop out the bottom of the window, creating about a 1.25 inch space at an angle to work in with my finger tips. This wrench from HF is too thick to work in a space that small. The Craftsman set will work because it is thin enough. If I only had this a few days ago! Still working on it.
