Seems like the infinimobile 12 month 5gb plan for $60 that keeps popping up occasionally would be a better deal...that however is 2500 minutes and texts a month. I'd certainly consider the free plan for the free 3GB of data a month as additional data since I do have a dual sim phone and it can auto switch based on availability.

That was my guess too that this is marketed as a special privacy feature. But I can understand how it can seem worded a little strange. But that's what makes it a kid plan versus an adult plan as it has that extra protection of data security? Or location security? Put some parents don't they want to be able to see where their kids are
within the Helium ecosystem, what makes it a decent 'kid's plan' is that it does not have the required location sharing of the Zero plan, plus unlimited calling/text.

Thinking about the free zero plan for an emergency backup phone, but it's physical SIM only. Can someone shed light on how much a physical SIM cost? I cannot find it on their website. Thanks!
Did the zero plan yesterday and the sim card is free.

I have the zero plan. How do I deploy hotspots?
You can purchase hotspots directly from their website or through the app. The indoor hotspot is about $200 and the outdoor one is about $500. Depending on crypto earnings, it might take time to recover the cost of purchase. However, if you just want to support the community, it's a great gesture.

I would recommend you purchase directly from Helium. https://store.hellohelium.com/pro...le-hotspot

They have an indoor one and an outdoor one with better range. Word of warning don't deploy this at home. It likely will not do well.

Use this tool to estimate how much you can generate based on the coverage you provide. In addition, data is paid in HNT at 50 cents a GB for eligible offload

So it's only really meaningful to deploy a hotspot if you live in an apartment building or have a commercial space like a restaurant?

I thought Zero Plan is just a mobile app, does it needs SIM

Yes, it needs a sim card or eSIM, just like a regular cell number except all managed from app. even with Zero plan.

It really depends. If you live in a busy area, there's a good chance you'll provide good coverage no matter what. Tried and true are high foot traffic commercial spaces. Especially if traffic lingers like a coffee shop or a gym. You can use the helium planner to give you a better estimate

Of course not. It's a hack in their system. Why would their reps give you something they're not supposed to.

Promo price vs a regular non promo price. Hardly an apples to apples comparison. I typically stay away from promo deals because after it's done, you're under the gun to switch or stuck paying higher rates. I'm a big fan of set it and forget it.

I got Infinimobile two weeks ago and I am on the phone to resolve additional charges and number porting everyday. Infinimobile is worse than Metro.
