Every Micro Center slickdeal is salt in the wounds to those of us not fortunate to have one close by.

I was with you when they left Bay Area. But now the newly opened Santa Clara store is within walking distance

Decent deal on solid bundle
IMHO, CAS 36 is fine. You pay a huge premium for 28 or 30 and they benchmark barely any differently.

Nice to see they're offering 850 motherboards now. Some of the bundles offer the option to upgrade to Corsair Vengeance RAM (unclear on timings there) which might help solve the issue about the timings with the included RAM. I got a 7600x3d combo last year for about this price ($449) and this 7700 is no slouch either!

Ram latency could be better, but maybe not a bad price on this bundle? Still in stock at over 20 stores as of 6/11

https://www.microcenter.com/produ...ild_Bundle
how much does the ram latency matter, specifically for gaming? what should it have been?

Looks like they improved the motherboard from the bundle I bought 2 years ago but considering I paid around this price when I got it... that doesn't seem like a great deal...

Good bundle and price. I'm waiting for the AMD Ryzen 9 9900X, MSI X670E MAG Tomahawk WiFi, G.Skill Flare X5 Series 32GB bundle to go on sale again for $500.

Me too! How often do they fluctuate from 500 and 550?

Gskill is ass in terms of reliability.
Shame, cause I started using slickdeals looking for gskill for an opteron build(couple years before I actually made an account). In 2006 Gskill was the up and coming disruptor. Shame to see them fall to shit like the rest.

i've used G.Skill for the last 8-10 years, several machines, machines for my wife as well... never once had an issue.

In the market for a combo. Anyone have an opinion on this versus the 7600 vs 7800? Okay with spending more for banger perferformance.

Little editing, more for gaming, but want solid productivity machine as well
