But odors can be removed from silicone using a vinegar bath. A baking soda paste can be used if odors persist.
These bottles are extremely practical and reusable, but there is a built in maintenance factor. My recommendation is to stick to plain water to minimize mold growth.
Putting milk or smoothies in this will almost instantly ruin them, since those drinks will inadvertently be left in the car and sour within hours in the heat.
With all of that said? These are virtually indestructible, leak-proof, function perfectly, and have a strong warranty. Minimize plastics exposure by hand washing.
