have you tried using cooking oil or spray before cooking?
Can you give some examples?
Yes. I use avocado oil and duck fat - both in spray form. They definitely aid in using this air fryer. As before, it was nearly perfect before the coating diminished.

What about the parchment basket liners? Do you use those?
I do not. I use a reusable silicone mat with vent holes. I thought about using the basket liners, but I thought they might restrict the air circulation.
You could still buy this one and return it with the old receipt. Is it worth the time/hassle/gas to exchange it for only $10?
