Geeze....Only a 180w Power Supply....

https://www.intel.com/content/www...tions.html

The CPU itself is rated at 182 for Max Turbo Power.
Once you start adding in other items like Mobo, RAM, SSD, etc... that 180 looks very tiny.
Can't help but wonder if Dell has BIOS settings to limit turbo speeds....

And lets not talk about me plugging my Phone into charge via one of the USB Port....

And likely a proprietary power supply which would present additional hurdles when trying to connect a normal ATX power supply to the motherboard. Or at least this was my experience in the past with certain recent Dell desktops.

In the past, my experience is that Dell uses proprietary power supply connections for their desktops :-(

Yeah that sounds impossible, so I checked the OP page, and it lists:

Quote :
Chassis
180W PSU with TPM

Power
180W Bronze internal power supply unit
360W Platinum internal power supply unit
So I'm guessing the 180W PSU is for the lower CPU option (65 watts), while the 360W PSU is for this CPU option.

(However, reviews did mention that the PSU didn't have some extra connectors, etc)

Most LIkely, He ordered one of the "Tower Plus" models. These have a larger case and PSU out of the box. Some SKUs did not come with a dGPU though currently I only see ones with dGPUs at Dell.

Presumably, the plain tower could have a SKU with a dGPU and in that case they would use the larget PSU....but its unlikely Dell would put a larger PSU in the smaller case that was not a SKU that came with a small dGPU.
