Eventually, I was able to pair them with a compatible model of Sammy phone however, and it's really not that big of a deal. The headlines like the 24-bit codec and the dynamic ANC seem like big misses, but neither of them really amazed me when I finally got to demo them. The transcription feature didn't work very well either.
I am just one data point. Maybe my particular 24-bit flac files were a poor demo of the proprietary sammy codec and maybe things have been fixed in software since, but for under $100 I find these to be pretty hard to beat in the ANC Earbud market even with non-sammy devices.
Edit: A suggestion for people like me. These come with silicone eartips. I would replace immediately with memfoam, but that is subjective
However, my preference is the 2's. They're sleeker and I am able to maneuver better in them: activities, less noticeable at work, don't get snagged when taking off shirts/sweaters, and are easier to sleep in.
I haven't noticed any major difference in battery life.
One thing is that it is more of a nuisance with the 3's to properly align the buds when placing them into the charging case. The 2's will magnetically align so you can just drop them into the case, essentially.

In Asia, when the products are not sold through official distributors, they are called "International" version. Those products have no warranty!

Non-us marked products carry no warranty in us even if they are sold by Samsung Authorized dealer in say India or elsewhere.
Some products - such as an iPhone sold via Apple - do get sold with International warranty meaning I buy it in the USA and go to India, something happens, I can get service in India from authorized Apple store. Sorry, bit long winded!

I don't know if that's surprising. Apple does most things really well but they are usually FAR from being the best.

They do work better on Samsung phones. But he is right they sound better than the airpods pro 2. I have both and it's not even close. The airpods pro 2 have better noise cancelling.

If you have to ask, the answer is no. No need to mindlessly add to E-waste.
I got these to replace my original buds, and although the sound quality was a ton better these did not stay in my ears well (subjective) for running, weights, eating, sleeping, etc. Overall not worth the tradeoff.
