I'm thinking about getting it too. The bad reviews are mostly software issues that can be fix through updates, as long as the hardware is working, I think we are good. This price is so tempting!

Ecovacs abandons a product once it's not part of the flagship lineup. This is a fairly old vacuum now, so the current state is how it will always be. I've had good luck with their non-camera robots, like the T20 which is also on sale on Woot! right now. Good luck to you, as well!

They won't be updating the software. It's been broken for 5 years, and their bots are always getting stuck. I had the x1 omni at a similar price point, and the app was frustrating to use, could never divide a couple of my rooms, and it would get stuck on corners of low pile rugs all the time. We recently picked up a roborock for $50 on marketplace, and their app is so much better, mapped and divided rooms like it should, and has only been stuck once in the 4 months we've had it on a dog toy - the ecovacs was stuck at least 2x a week, even with its AI obstacle avoidance.

I've been a roomba fanboy for a long time but have been waiting to pull the trigger on a mop combo since my m6 stopped working. I really want to get this but vaccumwars.com gave it a horrible score for Navigation 0.24 vs average score of 3.00. I've moved to the J models of roomba because of navigation, I just can't go back to having a stuck robot every day.

Yeah, if it doesn't work well, we can return it. Worth it to give it a try
