Any thoughts on this? I was looking to give my dad an outdoor wyze cam with solar so he could observe wildlife in the creek in his backyard. This might be a better option.

Why? It still functions on 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks with older devices.

Only wifi 6e and 7 utilize the 6ghz band.

I guess it's useful if it's sitting in your backyard or something. But these are usually out in the woods, well out of WiFi range

The Wi-Fi is limited range, and intended for downloading photos to the phone app without having to open the case and removing the SD card.
