I haven't tried to get this deal because I don't want a contract right now, but supposedly T-Mobile is giving the phone away for free. All you have to do is trade in an eligible phone in any condition on T-Mobile's Experience Beyond or Go5G Next plan.

If your on those 2 specific plans, then it is probably better to wait for the same deal on a better phone to help offset some of the cost of the higher monthly lines. The s25 is the base model and there isn't much of an upgrade over last year's s24.

I joined the Go5G bandwagon last year. I'm paying a little more than I'd like for the lines, buy I got a bunch of great phones on the 2 year EIP, 3 s24 ultras, 1 iPhone 16 pro max, 1 pixel 9 pro XL. Planning to ditch T-Mobile once the EIPs are done and just move to a lower cost carrier. These phones are good enough to last at least another 5 years until the software support dies down. My S22 Ultra is still working great too.
