Average flight time is 16min
The US government only buys non-DJI drones :-(
I own the older version of this drone and I'm a big fan of these. They are much easier for travel and quick selfie videos. DJI created the DJI Neo after seeing their success

The reason the comments section is so smug is because DJI drone pilots always 'look down' on everyone else
Hopefully that joke doesn't fly over people's heads

If it gets out of range, does it have the ability to automatically return to the launch pad?

$650 for a 16 minutes flight? I cannot justify.

how did it get out of range to begin with?
pretty easy for a drone to get "out of range", I could see my drone as it wasnt that far but something blocked the signal so my remote stopped communicating with it. Its a valid question what will it do.

How high can this fly? How to take photos without a controller? Worry about 16m of flight time as well. Very tempted though. Been looking at this for a while now.
Most Drone flight times are in the range of 15~30 minutes. YES there are drones that can go longer, but in this general size, thats not uncommon.

FYI, this will chase you for at least 12 minutes at 22mph. Pretty nifty.

I have the previous version of this. With my version, you can manually control it with the app, or pair a small bluetooth remote with it, one of the 8bitdo controllers. Don't know about the height, but I assume it will go as high as the bluetooth signal will allow without losing control. Never had a problem with the 16min time, just get more batteries.

of course we know when it got out of range. but how do you expect it to know where to head back if its out of its range when its not supposed to.

to be clear. it shouldnt get out of range if it cant get lost to begin with. well, unless it losts its mind or control from other factors like wind, enviromental, human,...
