Got in on this CPU when it first came out and paid like $500 for the CPU plus Asrock Z890I m-ITX board using Microcenter combo deal. Since I do not play game, this CPU has been awesome as an everyday office/muti-media/ professional PC. Actually it's a bit over killed for my need because my CPU usage narely got above 5% ! I don't even need a buy a dGPU because the iGPU is very capable at performing all of my needed tasks. I believe it's the most powerful iGPU that Intel has ever put in a desktop chip at launch. A big bonus is the low power consumption and cool running. It sips around 8w-25w for my usage. Temp is around low 40s using a single Phantek T30 + ID Cooling IS67 ST to air cool this chip. I set the motherboard to silent mode and the I can barely hear any noise from the 3 spinning fans in my NZXT-H1V2 case. Highly recommend this CPU if you are not a gamer!
I should've waited two months dang it. I bought mine for $300 at bestbuy on a price match from Microcenter. I guess I'll check if my credit card has that price protection perk.
It's not an Amex offer. You activate the offer on Amazon.com and then use some points at checkout for the offer to work. I got 10% off up to $10 on mine and wife's account. There's a SD post about it.
