I don't think that deal is actually active. I tried to search it on the partner store and it doesn't exist and the link from slickdeals is dead (takes you to a maintenance page.)

A year newer, but if this deal is better than the c4's price shouldn't we get the newer model?

$1800 (c4) plus $700 sound bar is $2500.

The LG C4 OLED and the LG C5 OLED are very similar overall, but the C5 is noticeably brighter. Due to this extra brightness, the C5 fights more glare in a well-lit room, displays brighter highlights in HDR content, and has better color volume. However, there's one caveat with the C5: dark scenes have strange contouring in HDR10, making some scenes look a bit ugly. One advantage the C4 has is that it supports DTS audio passthrough, making it more compatible if you don't have a receiver or soundbar with HDMI inputs.

The M3 is basically a wireless G3, so it's better than this. It's much brighter, due to having an MLA panel. It also has better color. On top of that, the C5 has a contouring issue in dark scenes, where it basically separates shades of a color, when they should be more blended. Rtings has screenshots of it, and it's very noticeable. The G5 had the issue, too, but I've heard that they fixed it on that. I couldn't find info on if the issue has been fixed for the C5.

Thanks for the reply. Been doing a deep dive and it appears they removed dts on these new models C5/G5. I slept on the m3 though so we'll see what pops up.

I got my C4 77inch from the Sams Flash sale. Extra 1000 for a brighter screen I'll rather buy curtains and get my TV professionally calibrated. Or the like others said get the 77 G4.

I share this on my other post. For those don't have access to LG partner store, if you are a Hulu subscriber, you can access to this store through Hulu perks. https://sso.us.lg.com/oauth/page/...&type=hulu
