It's getting bad. I find myself feeling that way all too often as a SDer.

There was a deal last week for some extensions from Craftsman for $13 but was close to $20 after tax in my area. This is a better deal because now I've got additional extensions for the other drive sizes and additional attachments for the same $20 bill. In for one. Repped.

This is a really good deal on decent quality extensions and adapters. The generic chinese brand sets tend to be a bit more expensive. The quality tool brands are like 3x this cost. HF does not have an equivalent set and it would cost you more to piece this stuff together.

Just keep in mind Lowes wants you to bring in your entire set for a warranty claim. You'll probably spend more time than is worth it and never find everything.

I often feel the same. But then again, if there's just one thing I need just one time, it's better to have it than to have to stop what I'm doing to run out and buy it.

So I'll likely invest the $20 now to save myself the time, regret, and shame later.

A case would have made the case for the deal. Lack of a case closes this case now.

Yup! Would have jumped on this deal if I didn't already have most if not all of these. I would recommend the set to someone who is just starting to build up their tool arsenal!

I keep each drive type in a compact, "under seat" truck toolbox. They have just enough space for a few full socket rails, the wrench, and adapters like these. It's a really convenient system for those times when you need to grab a wrench and start wrenching.

Is this the policy in all stores? That would be a real pain.

For sure! Ideally, one of those big hinged blow-molded plastic cases where you have to pinch and pull out tools by using both hands!
And then have to "snap" back in carefully by first aligning in place, then pushing down hard!
Extra points if the thin plastic hinges break off after the case has been opened a few times!
Cases like those are the choice of professionals everywhere!

I hate trying shop at Lowes. Logged into my existing account, got the set added to my cart for shipping (free according to my silver key account status), enter all my info, select my payment info, click PAY or complete purchase or whatever it says and then it wants me to log in again. Only it immediately informs me that my account is locked because of too many login attempts (only logged in when 1st going to the site and then when it wanted to do so again when trying to complete the purchase)... only option is to say forgot password and start again. Only I get stuck in the exact same loop again.

Unfortunately looks like this was a day deal, was trying to pick this up yesterday but was busy and couldn't make it, checked last night and price went back up. Looks like deal is dead
