Just keep in mind Lowes wants you to bring in your entire set for a warranty claim. You'll probably spend more time than is worth it and never find everything.
So I'll likely invest the $20 now to save myself the time, regret, and shame later.

my local store had it for $17.xx, then they took off 10% for a missing piece I didnt' care about, ended up paying $15.xx for it

For sure! Ideally, one of those big hinged blow-molded plastic cases where you have to pinch and pull out tools by using both hands!
And then have to "snap" back in carefully by first aligning in place, then pushing down hard! They're the choice of professionals everywhere!
