From my personal ownership experience...A great unit and really hard to beat for the price. Even people that paid full MSRP in 2021( and waited for delivery) have been very satisfied with this unit since then ( AVS forum)
From personal experience you likely wouldn't hear much of a difference if at all especially for the cost savings.
The 3.4 has been out just as long & just as many happy owners also!

To anyone looking at this - I'd get this receiver if you have space behind your seating position to run true rears in a 7 channel bed layer (side and rear surrounds) . Get the Integra if your seating is right up against the wall and you can' only run 5 channel (side surrounds).

In my experience 5.1.4 is the optimal layout in the average home setup.

Imo if you can't properly implement/place speakers, they won't perform optimally.
If that's the case, not worth the effort/cost in my experience.
Imo internal amps are not ideal, they can drop in efficiency quickly.
Often people want to add the better power of external amps to the speakers that will take advantage of it more.
Unfortunately on this 10 & 11 channels are not assignable, they can only be powered externally.
I still think that IF you only need 9 channels, Integra is the better buy, just my opinion from experience.
Yes they both have mono sub outs.
Recently. I bought a Denon X4800 and popped in in and pulled out the Onkyo RZ50
To start I wanted to listen to my own favorite sections of music that I use for demo
No room correction engaged...just like the process I would do in my main listening area
Powering the Kef r5 metas..the 2 really sounded the same which IMO, is a credit to the Onkyo RZ50 that has an $1100 lower MSRP
I pulled the Denon X4800 out of my system
I didnt even run room correction as I already know my preference for Dirac over Audyssey even with the $20.00 app

I swapped out the Denon X4800 for a Marantz Cinema 30
To my ears a significant improvement in detail and imaging of the Kef's... I .havent run room correction on it yet
But..I think I am going to keep the Cinema 30
With no room correction engaged, with 2 music listening it compares well to my Arcam AVR30 quite well to my ears.

Especially since you don't get Dirac's sub correction/integration with this.
Imo the only reason to even consider Dirac is for DLBC, it gets the slight edge because of it imo.
If you use external amps the 3800/Cinema 50 is the way to go imo.
You might hear a subtle difference side by side, definitely not a difference worth the extra cost though imo.

If it was, unlikely the extra 20 watts would do much more.
Thats where pre outs comes in handy.
