I got this exact TV for my parents for Christmas and paid just under $1000 and thought I got a steal. It looks great and I'd definitely recommend it.

I got mine open box last year and it was literally just an opened box, otherwise brand new. And that was for $950ish. This is a great deal.

For sure in that case a nice deal if it was just buyer's remorse.

I bought a 'fair' condition TV (non OLED) from Best buy last year and it was very clearly the floor model. No box, came wrapped in cellophane instead. Missing the remote, TV stand and plug and whatever else it was supposed to come with. Just as long as people know what they might be getting into! I would definitely value a buyer's remorse return differently than I would the floor model.

If I hadn't just dropped bunch of cash on Alienware OLED monitor would get this today. I've been watching tvs for a month and this slickest deal I've seen.

Still not sure my family is ready for OLED though, so think mini led may be way to go for my living room....sadly 😔

Thanks OP! Just ordered. I bought the C4 last week from Sam's for $1199 but for the price I'll decide which to keep once it comes in.

Edit: ended up cancelling the order after comparing closer. After I add the BB 5 year warranty it's only a $200 difference, might as well keep the C4.

I drove an hour for an "excellent" CX a few years ago just to arrive and be offered a tv with no box what so ever and clearly had been on display a LONG time. When I questioned the associate on the actual age, he referred me to the manager who came clean and said it had been the floor model for nearly 2 years.

So 2yrs with no box equals excellent?

Tempting, but from Best Buy doesn't that likely mean it will be the store model? A lot of hours on that screen, which matters more for an OLED than other types

It means someone just decided to return it. A friend of mine bought an open box C9 around 7 years ago, and to this day, he's never had an issue. Not even a shred of burn-in, and that was back when burn-in was really prevalent.

I'm on the same one! From a Dell deal with Citi price match to scam website from years ago. That deal killed off the price match benefit i'm pretty sure. I'd hop on this deal, but moving soon and don't want to deal with a larger TV in that process lol

What are the major differences?

Brightness and image processing for upscaling is better. Brightness doesn't matter if you have controlled lighting/window shades and etc. image processing doesn't matter if you're using something else to upscale like a receiver . Also c4 has better sound which doesn't matter either if you have upgraded speakers.

This seems like a remarkably good deal. What are the tradeoffs for going with Best Buy vs Amazon? Does either have a better warranty, return policy, or other significant benefit?

Worth getting the 5 year protection at Best Buy? Assuming the panels have come a long way but are there enough issues to make it a solid idea?

In my case it was an open box item for a 48 inch B4. Bought it for $400. It had lines all through the OLED Panel. I returned the TV and they gave a Brand New one at no additional cost. I got lucky

The manager didn't even check the returned TV to see what the problem might be.

This is a solid deal. Glad I picked up my 48" for $499 when it was on Best Buy Drops brand new. This would be too big but a smokin' deal for people who play HDR enabled games. Avowed was excellent on my B4!
