This is not a deal. 6400 CL38 is junk like the 6000 CL36 people keep posting.

Genuinely learning... I thought as long as the speed is 6000 or higher is all great? Can anyone explain what Latency means? What is the ideal speed or latency I need to get to be set? Also what would be a good deal? Thank you so much in advanced.

CL is how many clock cycles until the RAM can respond to a request. 6400 MT/s RAM operates at 3200 MHz. CL30 will be able to respond to a request in 30/3200000 seconds or 9.375 nanoseconds per command. CL38 will first respond after 11.875 nanoseconds. Gaming is more impacted by low latency and at the same clock speed CL38 will be significantly slower than other RAM, but at 6400 MT/s it would be about equivalent to CL28 DDR5-6000 for latency. DDR4 RAM operates at much lower MT/s but good DDR4 sticks can also operate at like CL16 and lower so the overall latency isn't that much different, but the total bandwidth will be much worse.
