It's absolutely worth it! In CA, I pay nearly 9.4% tax. So that can be viewed as straight cashback. In comparison, my best cashback card gives me 5.25%, up to $2.5k.
Additionally, Payboo offered me $50 sign-up coupon. I got the coupon about 4 weeks later, so you may miss out on current deals. But that $50 can be applied to other stuff later on. In my case, networking equipment.
