Barracuda drive inside, not EXOS
Good deal, under $10 per TB. I was also able to use Discover offer for $20 back on GPay transaction over $200 with virtual number since BHPhotovideo allows Google pay transactions from chrome.
The 3-2-1 backup rule is a data protection strategy that involves creating three copies of your data, storing them on two different types of media, and keeping one copy offsite. This approach provides redundancy and helps safeguard against various data loss scenarios like hardware failure, accidental deletion, or natural disasters.

3 Copies: Maintain three copies of your data: the original and two backups.

2 Different Media: Store these copies on two different types of storage media, such as hard drives, SSDs, or cloud storage. This helps mitigate the risk of a single point of failure affecting all copies.

1 Copy Offsite: Keep one of the backup copies in a separate physical or cloud location, away from your primary storage. This ensures data availability even if your primary location is affected by a disaster or other incident.

You sure that's going to work? Would use it if so but a I'm a little hesitant based on the wording of the offer...
Quote :
Earn $20 Cashback Bonus® when you spend at least $100 on new purchases made using your Discover® Card with your Digital Wallet. Digital Wallet purchases include those made with Apple Pay®, Samsung Pay™, Garmin Pay™, and in-store with Google Pay™.

Digital Wallet purchases include some online purchases and some in-store purchases made with your smartphone, tablet, or wearable. Purchases made with Google Pay include only those made by tapping your mobile device in-store. Certain third-party payment accounts and digital wallet transactions may be identified as being through a digital wallet. Discover does not determine the transaction details it receives for purchases.
The second section singles out Google Pay as only in store.

There's two separate offers, one is Google Pay and the other is Virtual Card Number.

Not the same offer, Discover has another one that they send out on email which specifically states gpay on chrome though it's account specific:
"Get $20 cash back with your virtual card number. Once your Discover® Card is enrolled, spend $200 or more with your virtual card number by 7/30/2025 to earn $20 cash back. Earn $20 Cashback Bonus® when you spend at least $200 on new purchases made using your Discover® Card with a virtual card number. Virtual card numbers can be created and used in Google Chrome browser on desktop or mobile devices, and Android apps, where available. Virtual card number eligible purchases include those made online in Google Chrome browser, or in Android apps, where available, only when virtual card or virtual card number is selected. Virtual card numbers may not be accepted by all merchants. Tapping your mobile device in-store for Google Pay purchases is a different form of payment than virtual cards or virtual card numbers and are not eligible purchases. No activation required. Offer is non-transferable and limited to one offer per Discover account, whether the offer is received from Discover or Google."

Ah, my bad. I think I already did the virtual card one a while back.

Apple Pay should work so I'll just use that.

Is it safe to trust my data with this drive?
No. No single storage is safe and it doesn't matter who makes it. You would use this to create a second copy of your data to keep that data safe or visa versa. Even then, you would need an offsite backup to really be safe.

In for one. 26TB at under $10 per TB seems like one of the best deals in a while. I have 4 Seagate externals between 8 and 5 years old and only one has died, just recently.
