Very tempting. I like my Anker 5,000mah model, which isn't qi2, but is nice and thin, barely can tell its on the back of my phone. I also have a few 10,000mah models from a generic company called Miady, which don't seem to charge as well, and are harder to put in a pocket. I want to stick out until I find a reasonably priced on that has a precentage display on it though (My Miadys do, but my anker just has LED indicators)

Totally agree, the percentage display is super handy, especially when you need to keep track on the go. This model seems to hit a good balance on size and charging speed with Qi2. Hopefully, we'll see more compact power banks with displays at reasonable prices soon.

Is it better to have the mag safe one so you don't need to carry a charging cable? I'm unsure which to get.

Yes very handy so you don't have to carry cords. If you can find one with MagSafe and charging cables attached even better as charging with cables can be faster but have option to charge with MagSafe too.

With these slim power banks, the product dimensions can make a difference. The Anker slim are slimmer than the ESR; not by much, but the Anker 10,000 is about as thick as the ESR 5,000 (dimensions from Amazon product pages):

Anker 5,000 mah (model 621):

4.13 x 2.62 x 0.45 in

Anker 10,000 MagGo:

4.09 × 2.78 × 0.58

ESR 5,000 mah:

4.13 x 2.66 x 0.55 inches

ESR 10,000 mah:

4.13 x 2.66 x 0.78 in

Cheers.
