These are not comfortable, toe box material is too stiff and rubs on my feet.

While pink is often associated with femininity in Western cultures, it's not inherently a woman's color and has a complex history. Historically, pink was even considered a masculine color. The association of pink with femininity is a relatively recent cultural construct.

That's true, but I don't think you can apply that logic to athletic shoes. Athletic shoes are a recent development, and did not really exist back in the era when pink was a man's color. Besides, these also have light lavender on the heel... definitely a color associated with women. These shoes look feminine, and this color scheme is probably not aimed at the stereotypical, heterosexual male.

These [adidas.com] are available thru adidas for $73.50 (marked down from $98). adidas shows them as unisex with both men's and women's sizes listed.

Also, my research indicates this is $4.80 lower than previous frontpage deal here. While there were 3 other colors in addition to this pink glow, in that previous FP deal, I think it shows this style of shoes is popular and liked by a lot of our SD members!

Hopefully, my info helps!

This actually just proves how fragile some male egos are. A woman can wear any colorway shoes. But, men with fragile egos will be worried about being made fun of for wearing "the wrong colorway".

Buy her a black/grey/brown sneaker (not formal shoes) as a gift and see for yourself Big Grin

I would love to debate this subject with you, I have thoughts, but we can't do it here - especially here, in this particular forum. Men's shoes in a decidedly feminine color scheme may attract the attention of a crossdresser or a transgender person who would take offense, and I'm not here to offend anyone... I'm here for the deals 😀
