I don't know for sure, but apparently glass based on the title of the same (?) product on amazon being ".... Bulbs High Brightness Clear Glass for Bedroom Office".

Thanks. I bought a couple of outside lamps from Costco last year and the bulbs went out last week. The shipment was pretty quick and fit perfectly.

You don't judge a bulb based on the amount of watts it uses.

They say 60w equivalent and 800 lumens, which are both practical. But Sylvania and GE 8w bulbs are 60w equivalent and both rated at less lumens, so these probably either use more power or put out less light than stated.

7w is the power draw. Lumens is the brightness. At 800 lumens it's about as bright as a typical 60w lightbulb.

Don't thank him for false info. 7-8w is the LED equivalent to a 60w incandescent bulb. Apparently this guy hasn't bought a light bulb in the past decade.

I wonder if these are like the pieces of crud that Ollie's sell. Great for a few months, then they start flickering like they're not screwed in completely. No brand name, just a brown box that says 12pcs LED and Made in China. I think they were $15.

Yeah, hope they don't flicker out like my other "vintage LED" lamps have done over the past five years. Makes the place look like a Disco dance floor.
