Ads on the iOS Version of the App

I'm noticing ads for a Solitaire game in the iOS version of the app - it's a popup for the iOS app store, where the Solitaire game is available. I'm certain this hasn't happened before. Is Slickdeals now incorporating these types of ads?

thanks for the report. we generally don't allow popup ads so it probably just slipped through. i have passed it along to the ad team so they can look into squashing it.

Thanks again for the report. We are certainly not intentionally including these type of ads, but we have been having a bit of trouble playing a game of whack-a-mole blocking advertisers who employ these seemingly "light-touch" advertisements that pop into the app store. We continue to work with our "malvertising" protection partner to weed out these type of ads, but again, it is a bit of a cat and mouse game. We are continuing to explore solutions to this issue as nobody likes the pop-up experience when accidentally tapping an ad while scrolling the feed. Appreciate your report of this issue - we definitely know the Solitaire game is one of our major culprits. Thanks again.
