Ordered this fan and delivered and fixed to my home. it is working great. Even though I ordered it on Build.com (or Ferguasonhome.com ) it is directly shipped by Kichler. It came in the brand new box. solid fan and working great, thought of sharing the deal. Free Shipping too. for just $43,

I just compared this fan's price with the Lowes one, the exact same fan. wondering the price showing up as $390. Lowes link for Ref:

More than anything else, that's the dealbreaker. Once you go DC, AC motors just feel and sound cheap.

My newest fan is DC, and never again. There is such a slooooow lag between pulling the chain, and the start of action.

People are different, but I would rather have AC hum and instant power.

Yeah we have seven AC fans in the house, some of them close to 30 years old. They're quiet if installed and maintained properly.

this style is only appropriate if you live in an ice cream 🍦 parlor or plantation

I thought the power draw was the big difference that one would want a dc motor over ac…. Is it not that big of a difference?

I just had two of the original owner fans die (the house was built in 1978) and I haven't shopped for fans in years and it is crazy what is all available now.

This deal probably came in clutch for me, because I want to use the kasa fan controller switch, which requires an AC motor.

darn upon looking it uses the Candelabra bulbs, unfortunate that it doesn't use e26. and worse for my use case, it seems you cannot flush mount it.
