I got this at full price and it's awesome. Controller fits iPad Pro 12.9 but not the tab s ultra series from Samsung, anything smaller will fit with no issue. Bluetooth connection is solid, no drop or random disconnection. Used it with apps for retro game like delta and it works perfectly. It's a must if you're a mobile gamer.

Slick product for sure - I used it with iPhone for Steam Deck/XBPlay (streaming) stand in while mine was in the shop and it works great!

Got on $55 Wally World sale like many others here. So $5 cheaper for longer shipping time sounds like OK trade off if you have patience

It's a game changer to use for streaming games (XBPlay, Steam Link, forget PS name) to mobile for couch gaming with SO with her trash TV shows - I've actually grown to enjoy every 20-30 minutes commenting on shows that would never choose to actively just sit there and watch (more the love to hate how stupid people can be). Anyways though, absolutely amazing for casual gaming even at home & highly recommend

It does make sense, though, if you've tried using both. Streaming Gamepass with the G8+ can be almost unplayable (for me, at least - YMMV). I can switch to my G8 on the same device (S7+ tab) and not have near the same issues.

Got this last time it came up sale about a month ago -- Has been great. Works fine with Parsec/Sunshine, has worked well on the Switch 1 & 2 and can easily be "popped out" to fit larger things like tablets without taking it apart. Remembering the different button to press to change mode is a bit wonky, but overall for $50 it's about as good as it gets.

I also have the G8 and the G8 Plus and with gamepass or GeForce now the the video decoding latency of the device used with either controller is more important than Bluetooth vs USB latency.

Yes, and I've done it before, but the bumpers can push pretty close to the USB-C port of a tablet. I have to slide it all the way to the bottom of my S7+ when I direct connect.

Agreed. But even on my best device (Tab S7+) on the same network, the difference is noticeable for me using both the G8/G8+. It's why I have both controllers and use them for different situations.

I actually have two G8+ now because the Walmart price was so good last month, and I wanted to make sure I had a back-up in case anything ever happened to my first G8+.

I used this on an emulator on Android, and had some input delay with the control sticks. I saw this uses Bluetooth 5.3, while my phone uses Bluetooth 5.2. Would a phone with a newer Bluetooth version make any difference in reducing the input lag with this?
