Glad to see someone posting. Just wanted to throw in my two cents.

For Garnier, the Fructis and the Whole Blends are 2 separate deals. Both are 2/$8 and give $3 EB wyb 2 and each has a $3/2 dq.

OGX (cheapest item at my store is $8.99) bogo50 and buy 2 get $4 EB and there is a $6/2 dq.
Buy 2/$13.48 - $6/2 dq = $7.48 and get $4 EB
$3.48/2 or $1.74 each

Crest - $3.99, Buy 2 get $4 EB and there is a $3/2 dq
2/$7.98 - $3/2 dq = $4.98 and et $4 EB

Dove Whole Body Deo (cheapest at my store was $11.99) bogo50 and buy 2 get $5 EB and there is a $10/2 dq if you haven't already used it
Buy 2/$17.98 - $10/2 dq = $7.98 and get $5 EB
There is also a possible app rebate

Covergirl, buy 2 get $5 EB, $3 dq and $3 ip (nla but still good if you printed earlier)
Buy 2/$12.58 - $3 dq/ip - $3 dq/ip = $6.58 and get $5 EB

Yeah, I saw somebody on Reddit say that you can just give ChatGPT the website address of a store's weekly ad, and ask it to find the best deals for you, and it will. Sometimes it makes mistakes, but most of the time it works really well.

I see there are no critics whatsoever. There are unadvertised deals, unadvertised digital coupons and not advertised (almost always) paper coupons. So if you figure out how to load all that into ChatGPT maybe it will do better.

Well, it also looked at other websites like "Krazy Coupon Lady", and she's always posting stuff like that. So, it probably also got deals from her too.

All CVS stores are in the process of updating their registers. The stores near me have been updated. 2 things I noticed. The new system no longer follows the 98% rule. The new system also seems to have a problem deducting the digital if you use a paper coupon.... Example- I purchased 2 Colgate. We had a $2 digital and I had a $1 printable. If I used the $1 printable the digital wouldn't come off even though I had 2 items.

Ouch. However, there is a difference between 98% rule on CRTs and 98% rule on ecbs.
98% rule on CRTs is on the store level. but I am not so sure about 98% rule on ecbs, it may be on the corporate level, meaning 98% on ecb would still work. Need to test.
Also, while the update is still going you might find in the same store one register updated and another one nor updated yet

Finally with 2/1 digital and 1/1 printable on two items did you try to scan one item, hit Total, so 2 DQ applies, then scan another item, and scan 1 ip? OR one item, 1 ip , Total, then another item?

I did not try that. It's easier to do that at SCO which I rarely use. I usually pay the balance with a fetch or Ibotta gift card and they don't work at SCO.

Kind of OT questions. I tried creating an account for my mom to use but the website kept saying unable to do so due to network or internet issues. It's been like this for a month. Any help would be highly appreciated.

FYI, I had an issue with an ECB not reducing at SCO when I was buying something that was 14 cents below the ECB amount. I went ahead and added in a chocolate because I thought it was the issue already reported.

In my next transaction, my ECB that was $1 less than my total didn't apply to my transaction, so I asked the shift who was covering the registers for assistance. She went back like she was going to add another item, applied the pennies from my account (which I had already applied) and then the ECB applied. When I told her I thought it might be the system update that had caused it, she had no idea what I was talking about.

I don't know if she's up to date on reading all the update emails or not, but in the past she was the one at this store who was responsible for doing that and sharing the information with others. She said they hadn't gotten anything. Could that mean this really isn't a system update and instead is someine in IT trying to fix something that has screwed up other things?

I think it's been that way for a long time because they had too many couponers setting up accounts for their dogs, cats, gerbils and other family members.

What system update was at this store? The one Markwin25 encountered where upcs print on receipt and 98% on crts does not apply and dq on one won't come off when uyou buy 2 and use mq on the other one?

What system update was at this store? The one Markwin25 encountered where upcs print on receipt and 98% on crts does not apply and dq on one won't come off when uyou buy 2 and use mq on the other one?
I was referring to the following post where it is noted the registers have updated to no longer follow the 98% rule.

I personally have no idea, I barely shop at CVS these days. I was just sharing my experience after reading this.
