every generation of every blink product has gotten worse. base starions o longer save to usb storage and cameras are far worse than xt2 from 5+ years ago.
Is blink reliable? I guess ring or eufy more reliable thank blink
Ring is so much better than blink when it comes to hardware quality (Blink has bad audio feedback, laggy interface, etc.). It's a bit more expensive to set up a Ring system, but it's well worth it in the long run.

Tapo and Eufy are better no subscription services, If you want to add 24/7 professional monitoring service I think its about 11.99 or less a month for all cameras. Both I bet will be available for less on Prime Day.
Did I miss something? Sync 2 modules have a USB port... And I'm using a 256GB flash drive smaller than a penny that is fine with offline storage.

You may be lucky with your USB flash drive. However, flash drives are not designed for continuous writing data (i.e. recording video). I changed 3 flash drives, each only lasted for few weeks then they no longer allowed to write data. For Sync Module XR, you can use a high endurance microSD card which is designed for continuously recording video. Regular microSD cards will not last long, similar to USB flash drive.

I'd like to share something. Not all SD Cards are the same and not all memory cards are the same. However, nearly all SD cards and USB drives share the same type of memory(as long as they're in the same tier). The form factor interface is the only difference. A high endurance SD card uses the same exact chip and tech as high endurance USB drives. I use high endurance loosely because in most cases, it's a gimmick where manufacturers intentionally limit the use of an additional cheap component.

So is high endurance microSD what you recommend using? Please elaborate on the form factor interface as I am trying to purchase the best memory card for sync module XR.
Thank you

High Endurance is a marketing gimmick that simply means a memory/storage module has been tested to last X amount of writes/reads continuously for a period of time. May are capable and ar just simply not marketed as such.
When choosing an SD card, choose based on the devices recommended specs.

I've been using a flash drive for years, with 5 cameras. No issues.

Buying a similar spec SD card as their branded model should keep you safe.
