- High School ring, but only if that is where you peaked.
- College/University ring, but only if you went to an institution worth bragging about. Nay on that community college ring.
- Military rings. Thank you for your service.
- Wedding ring. Silver, Gold or Platinum are materials I consider as acceptable. Mine is 23K gold, 2 Thai Baht weight (little over 1 oz of gold). I have big man sausage fingers.
- Superbowl ring. I don't think Brady would replace his set of seven with this make believe junk.
Men will typically wear a wedding ring, and that's it. My finger swells, so in 21 years of marriage, I've worn my wedding ring for a total of maybe ten minutes, with half of those minutes struggling to get the ring off.
I kept breaking the silicone rings through repeatedly playing with them. Finally I just stopped wearing a ring about 15 years ago. If a ring is on my finger- I'm going to mess with it... I can't help it, it's beyond my control. I'm going to keep sliding it on and off and if it's silicone I'm going to twist it and turn it inside out repeatedly.
Haven't worn a wedding ring in 15 years, doesn't make me love my wife any less- doesn't make me cheat... I don't need a ring to know not to do that. For anyone whose wife doesn't get hung up on you wearing a ring.... if you don't want to wear one, don't wear one.
If you're like me and compulsively play with anything touching your body... you do because these will break along stress lines over time if you end up twisting them and scrunching them, etc. Silicone rings last about 2 months with me.
