It's been that price for a month. It was $5399 the other day. I'm looking for the same deal as the 83" G4 last year in May, which was a little under $4500 shipped!
You'll be feelin' so fly like a G6
TLDR if you don't wanna read everything: LG support and delivery sucks. I had to manage everything and track dates directly, reaching out to support when delivery never happend or kept changing.
My purchase journey basically went like this:
"Purchased a 77" on 5/21, selected 6/7 delivery. Received an automated appointment with Handy for TV mounting (scheduled by LG), with a mounting date of 5/31 (??). Rescheduled mounting for 6/9 to give some time in case LG delivered late in the day on the 7th. On 6/5 my order status changed to "awaiting shipping." On 6/7, still said "awaiting shipping" and no TV was delivered. I call LG support and get hung up on the second I say "ordered from the Partner store." Couldn't get anyone on the phone (maybe this was because of the sheer volume of EPP purchases at the time). Rescheduled Handy for 6/15 and wait for an update on my LG order. On 6/9, my order gets a tracking number added but the status changed to "Completed." I reached out to LG support, finally got someone on the phone and they say that the shipper has the package but can't deliver to me until LG schedules a delivery date (???). There wasn't even a way for me to contact the shipper directly, it was all up to LG-- who apparently wouldn't have called unless I reached out. The support person scheduled the delivery for 6/14 while we were on the phone, but there was no e-mail or phone confirmation from them. They gave me the shipping number verbally, and the number they gave didn't work on any external facing websites (I tried RXO and the website that the customer support agent gave me). Support agent mentioned the website they use internally isn't customer facing so I wouldn't be able to track the TV like they could. On 6/14, TV is finally delivered. Company gave me an 8 hour window of when they would deliver and I got a 10min heads-up before they arrived. Mounters came by on 6/17. The mounting service was basically useless since Handy contracts with random people who are doing odd jobs for cash. My mounters were late and showed no care for my home or the TV. They were trying to get me to "cancel my appointment and pay them less in cash" despite already having this covered by LG. The TV was mounted crooked and they were more concerned about getting out to another Handy mounting appointment than they were fixing the alignment. I also bought a separate mount to use instead of using the one provided with the TV, but they weren't willing to use it."

Why stop there? Just keep waiting. You can just watch TVs getting better, never pulling the trigger, because of the next promised advancement. Unless you upgrade TVs like they're phones, you're always going to be missing out on the next big thing.

Yeah. The M3/G3 is 1,400 nits. The regular LED TVs that most people have had for the last 15+ years are somewhere between 250-350 nits. QLED is generally around 700. It's so weird to me that people think they need, like, 2,000 nits. Even my C2 is plenty bright, and it's 600 nits dimmer than yours. I have my TV in a room that has tons of natural light, and I have zero problems with the brightness of my TV. A couple of my friends have the Hisense U8H, which is 1,500 and that thing looks insanely bright to me. I've house sat for one of them, and I had to turn the brightness down at night.
