An nvme's heatsinks might be too big, or its fins might flow the wrong direction. Might want to see if your laptop manufacturer makes a heatsink available

Watch out for the Phison E18 "read degradation" issue where read times on old data slow down over time. Only Kingston has released a fixed firmware AFAIK. I'd steer clear of any E18 drive unless you are sure.

Define "old data." Are we taking 12+ months? If that's the case I would assume at some point PNY would release an update before buyers now would feel any affects?
