What about income in California compared to others ?

I personally don't but if you read the other posts for the same tablet, a lot of users actually do. I'm still rocking my S7 plus 512GB and happy 😊 with it.

I've been using this device for the past 3 years, and I can confidently say it's not a viable replacement for a laptop. At best, it's a tablet with a nice screen, good for watching shows and light web browsing.
The user experience is full of flaws. Many websites don't render properly since it's not running a full Chrome browser. You can't reliably multitask in Chrome; switching tabs often causes pages to refresh and lose cache. Even basic AI apps struggle. They either crash, refresh when the screen is left, or run out of memory.
Youtube is frustrating too. The layout is broken, and using it in the browser requires the tab to stay active. Several apps, like Samsung Shop, Slickdeals, don't support proper layouts in DeX mode and only open in vertical orientation.
It's slightly better than a Chromebook, but nowhere near the functionality or reliability of a real laptop.

Half as$ tablet half as$ laptop doesn't do either of them good but a nice screen awkward over priced tablet..

For real productivity or half productivity I would get a book 5 laptop....

This is a great deal. I have the S9 Ultra and have no complain, still run like new the day I bough it. S10 Ultra is just a minor upgrade. DEX mode is helpful if you into that. I mainly use it as a media device, and the screen is perfect for that.
Agreed. I have the S9 Ultra, what major gains do I get trading up to the S10 Ultra? Or, should I keep the S9 Ultra, and use some cheap Android tablet to buy the S10 Ultra for a couple hundred more?

In other posts they texted support and they said yes. That's what I'm planning to trade-in anyway.

Similar to the same promo running a few months ago. I got my tab S10+ at that time. I got the cheapest tablet on walmart, ~$30, as my trade in. So I was able to get the Tab S10+ for under 600

I have not had this experience at all with my S10 Ultra. Granted, I'm not trying to use mine as a laptop replacement. I disabled the Chrome browser and Youtube app in favor of Brave. With Brave, you get built-in ad blocking (even in Youtube), plus it can run video sites like Youtube in the background. I also don't think I've had pages crash or refresh when tabbed off, but I could just be lucky. Maybe I'm not getting your experience because I don't think I'm using Dex mode, though I do have a BT mouse and keyboard that I use with it sometimes (usually just to remote to my PC via TeamViewer).

Keep the Ultra and trade in some $30 Android tablet. Or wait till S11 Ultra deals. IMHO S10U not worth the upgrade over the S9U.
