Yes, the new firmware does introduce tighter integration with Bambu Lab's cloud services, and for users working with proprietary designs or running commercial print farms, that could raise valid concerns. But for the average hobbyist or even consumer, the impact is practically nonexistent.
Most people just want a printer that works reliably out of the box, and the P1S (even with the latest firmware) delivers that in spades. It's fast, high quality, and incredibly easy to use. The privacy concerns are mostly theoretical for the typical user, and unless you're running air-gapped systems for a reason, you're likely already trusting plenty of devices with similar connectivity.
For most, it's a non-issue.

If you like to mod and tinker with the actual machine, this probably isn't for you. If you want to hit a couple buttons and know you'll come back to a great print, bite the bullet and buy one.
And I always lol at the people worried about the privacy concerns. If you're worried about some multimillion dollar company stealing the benchys that you just downloaded from thingiverse, isolate it on your network.
I was going to buy another P1S AMS 2 pro combo but I am going to pass. There is no way i am going to use this P1S with their default display.
I have Elegoo CC, Anycubic S1, Kobra, FF AD5M, total of 7 printers
Anycubic support has been the best unlike what I have been hearing about bambu support.
When I had a clog, they simply sent a new hotend without any questions.
I had a jamming issue on my AMS unit, they sent the entire motor units, sensor, belts and gears. I did not need them all as it was one gear issue, but kept the rest as a backup.
Had issue where extruder gear was stuck with Wood filament. They sent a whole new extruder with a NEW hotend. After installing the new extruder, I tear up the old extruder and cleaned up and it is functional and using it as a backup.
When I was changing one of the extruder, I overtightened the screw and stripped the hole on the back plate, they sent the whole new back and front plate.
I had lot of these issues as I was learning to tinker with them. Now I know how to avoid them and I print without much issues.

i live in the northeast usa (not the lowest or highest humidity), have central air - so my humidity isn't out of control and every time i have a printing issue i dry the filament and the reprint is perfect.
i print pla petg tpu and abs. i tend to leave filament out on a shelf for a few weeks and say "i never have humidity problems, i don't really need to dry this" and the print is crap. i had a failed print last night and then again this morning with filament that was perfect for the first half of the roll - the only difference was not drying it.
you'll always find folks that never dry theirs and never have problems and blah blah blah. some folks swear by storing in sealed boxes with desiccant they don't need driers.
i have a bambu ams2 that dries but not while printing so i use that occasionally and use a creality 2 roll space pi dryer (around $45 on temu or aliexpress) and i like the fact that i can turn it on anytime whether printing or not - i have it between 2 machines and they can each draw from it at the same time. when i have time i dry 2 of whatever's out and then move it to zipper bags so it'll be ready in the future.

You said you own most of the printers i've been looking at.
People have recommended the:
Anycubic S1 with AcePro (AMS) + 5KG of Filaments for $480
Anycubic Kobra 3 (Bambu A1 equivalent) with AcePro (AMS) for $310
And I was looking at both the Elegoo CC and this P1S.
I understand that they're different price points, but I just want to spend enough to get a good experience.
What's your take on what I should buy as a first time buyer?
Thanks for your time!

1. Enclosed, less fumes (although safe for PLA, PETG) and less heat being let out.
2. Less rocking, otherwise some tall prints can fall off when almost done due to the bedslinger rocking back and forth.
3. Bigger Build Volume 256x256x256mm vs 250x250x260mm (although K3 firmware update in few months would allow bigger build volume than S1, 256x256x260mm)
4. Less footprint (K3 takes up more space as your AMS will sit next to it as oppose to S1 where it sits on top)
5. Built in Camera for live viewing (K3 doesnt have one)
6. Better lighting for remote viewing.
7. More fun mods available for S1 (vented riser, side pegboard, etc)
I wouldnt buy Elegoo over S1 for the following reasons:
1. Cannot remote print
2. Poor Slicer
3. Worse build quality vs S1 (cables are exposed and able tell it is a cheaper build)
4. No AMS currently and even when it comes out, it will cost at least $150-200 and would still be limited to 4color printing versus 8colors on S1 (with purchase of another AMS)
5. $300 without AMS vs $480 with AMS and 5KG of filaments for S1. When Elegoo comes out with their AMS, the total cost will surely exceed $480 S1 with 5kg of spools
6. Much better support from anycubic. My elegoo came with heavy jittering and took a week for them to have me rip the whole base of the printer and go through so many testing. It just randomly worked at the end but didnt appreciate the fact that it failed the QC prior to shipping.
