Always hear good things about Risk of Rain 2. I like to play games in chronological order though. I'll have to play part 1 first. Is this the lowest price on part 2?

They're both excellent games, but very different. You do NOT need to play part 1 first to appreciate and enjoy part 2, though!

**edit: my bad, I wrote the below about the PC versions of the game but have heard there is shadiness with this publisher with console versions too, but cannot speak to them personally.**

Careful, the publisher added a new EULA required for play for these games where you have to consent to a kernel-level "anti cheat" AI that can see everything you're doing on your PC and transmit information to the company. You can check some YouTube videos of people complaining about it with the Borderlands games (same publisher as ROR).

I enjoyed ROR2 but have permanently uninstalled when I saw the EULA, the game is essentially spyware now.

I have risk of rain 1, but never played it. Risk of Rain 2 is one of the best games ever made in my strong opinion. And the DLCs have made the game so much more fun and beautiful. I strongly recommend this title. I've bought it on stadia, xbox, and steam.

i've heard great things and always wanted to try it, pretty sure its also on sale on steam for summer sale, might finally be time to grab it lol
